Enak brings back the flavour of classic cuisine from both the countries, Malaysian and Indonesian with old family recipes handed down through the generations. Enak's kitchen uses the traditional pestle-and-mortar to blend the spices which have been sun-dried. The simple, yet elegant decorate invites, creating an oasis of calm and serenity. The interior is contemporary - white damask tablecloths with splashes of red and blue chairs in a neutral setting. White-washed walls frame wrought-iron artworks by local artists. This is an ideal venue to sample Malay and Asian food, among which is the Nasi Lemak Kukus (steamed rice cooked in coconut with condiments) which uses Bario rice. Situated along the historic Tengkat Tong Shin, this unique Malay restaurant adopts a traditional concept but with a chic and trendy edge. Pieces of artwork dominate the walls which are painted in contemporary bright colours while classic carved teak furniture gives it its traditional appeal.
